The Copthorne Orchid Hotel Singapore, located along Dunearn Road, will be closed by end-March next year for the site’s redevelopment into a 150-unit freehold condominium.

The condo was previewed on Friday, wherein 60 units were released for the first phase at a price of $2,050 psf on average.

In absolute terms, prices range between $1.59 million for a 689 sq ft one-bedroom unit with study and $7.15 million for a 3,563 sq ft-five bedroom penthouse, said City Developments Ltd (CDL), which owns the site through its London-listed unit Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.

The condo, named Glyndebourne, consists of eight blocks of five-storey apartments with a basement car park.

Sales started on Friday morning for CDL directors, staff and invitees, and the preview was opened to clients of marketing agents Huttons and DTZ in the afternoon.

The condo development will feature five one-bedroom-with-study units, 32 two bedders, 54 three-bedders, 32 four-bedders and four apartments comprising three bedrooms and a study. It will also have 23 penthouses offering either five bedrooms, or four bedrooms with a study.
