1) It is not wrong that your guess is as good as mine.
2) The only difference is we are more sensitive to the possibility when there is a change in the market price, trend, and volume, etc.
3) Any sudden surge in price and volume would trigger the government to introduce changes in policy, or when there is a constant of higher rise/drop in price index over a period will also force government intervention.
4) Due to the fact that we are always on the ground checking these data day in and day out so we are more sensitive than consumers when there is a possibility of change.
5) Other than veteran investors and people who work in the industry, no one else will look into this because normal people properly will only buy or sell at most 3 times in their whole lifetime. So they will only start to look at some data as and when they need it.
