We both over 35years old.
if my husband own a resales hdb bought under single scheme (1st timer) 6 years ago under his sole name, and i own a pte condo abt 7 years ago under my sole name. We got married this year.
1) will i need to sell off my condo?
2) can he add my name into his existing HDB as co-owner so that he can get extra marriage grant?
3) any implication to my condo if my name is added to his HDB?
4) i have a existing HDB resales levy ( as i bought a new and resale HDB before) , if he add my name as co-owner or occupier will i need to repay back the resales levy ?
5) if he sell off his HDB, can we ( as husband + wife) jointly buy a BTO or resales HDB

Hi,

No need to sell condo since his hdb already MOP. Need not add your name in into hdb, if not have to sell away your condo. For (5), yes but need to wait out 15 months after selling your condo before you are eligible together to apply. But I think the current arrangement is optimal since you can stay one and rent out the other.

1) No, you don't have to sell your condo. Neither does he need to sell off his HDB flat.

2) No, you are not eligible for any extra grant.

3) If you were to add your name into the HDB flat, you may be required by HDB to dispose off your condo.

4) No resale levy applicable.

5) No, unless you sell off your condo and then wait out 15 months (for resale HDB) or 30 months (for BTO). This is provided you meet all other eligibility conditions, i.e income ceiling for BTO etc.
