We are SPR/SPR planning to buy a resale HDB.

I understand that HDB Housing Grant is only available for SC/SPR or SC/SC.

If we convert from SPR/SPR to SC/SPR after we buy our HDB, will we get a top-up to our CPF just like the top-up granted to SC/SPR who later convert to SC/SC after they purchase their HDB?

If we're not available for the top-up, in the future will we still be available to HDB Housing grant (if it's still available), if we buy another resale HDB (after we sell our current HDB)?

Hi

Top-up is applicable to an SC/SPR household under the existing housing policy.

The housing subsidy is granted to 1st timer who buy an HDB resale flat.

Hi,

I guessed you already aware of your options from the answer from my colleagues.
No top-up grant is available when you convert from current SPR to SC after you bought the resale HDB.

But the good news is, you are still young and able to generate income to serve your monthly mortgage now.
After 5 yrs (MOP) or more, you will be able to benefit from the hard work that you have generate from now when you sell your HDB.

Especially if one of you successfully convert to SC, and able to get a BTO. You will be eligible for:
(1) HDB loan
(2) Receive all the perks meant for SC in HDB purchase

You will be able:
(a) get a bigger flat,
(b) smaller start up capital as HDB loan allowed up to 90% loan,
(c) No resale levy
