Home loans taken outside of Singapore will not be considered for your loan eligibility assessment unless this loan is taken up using local banks. You can submit your HFE to find out more about your loan eligibility if you are a Singapore Citizen looking to take up HDB loan or check with the banks to do an In Principle Approval for your home loan through bank.

Hello,

Even though your name is not under the owner of the property, but you still have an interest in the property. So it's best to clear the loan or appeal to HDB with regards to having an interest in overseas property.
