I used to own HDB (matured estate ballot) with govt grant and sold it in 2003. Now, I own few private properties since 2003 and am a Singaporean. Am I eligible to purchase HDB (new or resale) without selling my private properties?

Hi,

Unfortunately no, you have to sell away all your private properties once you purchase resale HDB. In fact for new HDB, you have to sell them 30 months before applying.

You are eligible to purchase a resale HDB flat, but take note that you will have to undertake to sell off all your private properties within 6 months thereafter your HDB purchase completion.

Alternatively, you will only be eligible to purchase a new BTO 30 months after selling off all your private properties.

Afternoon,

You will be required to remove the ownership status on your existing private properties within 6 months from key collection on the resale HDB unit. You will not be eligible for BTO unit for the first 30 months after the sales.
