I have an apartment in Malaysia that i purchased 8 years back before move to Singapore. My parents are currently staying there and intend for them, do i need to dispose off my apartment in Malaysia before i can buy a resale flat in Singapore?

Dear Danny,

You would like to consider to transfer the ownership of your private property in Malaysia to your parents'name since it is intended for them.

Once you have taken possession of a HDB flat, you have 6 months to dispose of your private property.
