I am sharing a HDB with a couple. They are leaving Singapore. Our TA has the clause that says "Not to sublet the said premises without the written consent of landlord, whose consent shall not be unreasonably withheld". Landlord is asking for rent till the end of TA and he will forfeit the deposit if they leave. What can I do? I need to get out of this TA.

That couple is terminating the contract early? If its a 18 month or 24 month contract, it should have a diplomatic clause which states if the tenant loses their job or outstation after fulfilling 12 months of tenancy, they legally can terminate the contract and ask for full refund.
