Hi, My girlfriend bought a resale with her ex fiancee a few years back. They took the 1st timer grants however, their marriage did not work out. She has since wiped off all her CPF (i.e she returned the housing grant and her own cpf on top of it) Question is, is she still a 1st timer. She return the grants. Her flat was bought at open market but return to HDB.

Hi William,

I believe the cpf monies utilized for the property were returned to her OA, you might want to check with her. Since she has taken grant once, she is considered a 2nd timer.

Hi,

Do you mean that they applied for the first timer grant, gotten the keys to the unit, but failed to register their marriage within 6 months of getting the keys, and hence has to return the unit to HDB?

You might want to write in to HDB for a black and white statement on this matter.
