First of all, congrats for preparing for the marriage.
A couple buying a HDB resale under Fiance and Fiancee scheme is required to produce ROM cert on the HDB 2nd Appt (if not taking HDB grant), and 3 months from HDB 2nd Appt (if taking HDB grant).
What is your age and your fiancee's age? The above applies for anyone above 21 of age. However, special approval is required from MCYS if one is below 18 years buying a HDB resale.
In your case planning for ROM cert in Feb 2011, your HDB 2nd Appt shall be about Nov 2010. Usually the HDB 2nd Appt is 8 weeks from 1st Appt. Your HDB 1st Appt shall be around Sep 2010 and submission shall be around End Jun/ July 2010 (based on today's schedule, 10 weeks is the HDB 1st Appt upon submission).
You may starting looking for a resale flat in Jun 2010.
The question is your purchase of HDB 5 room. Pls make sure you set aside cash for the COV, and CPF for the 10% + Stamp Fee for Transfer and for Mortgage. It is advisable to do up a financial plan for buying.
