No ABSD is payable for your 1st residential purchase in Singapore. Overseas property are not included in the property count for ABSD computation purposes.

As long as you do not own any existing residential property in Singapore, there will be no ABSD applicable for your purchase of residential property in Singapore, nevertheless, normal buyer stamp duty will apply.

Apart from the BSD which is applicable to all property purchase, there is no ABSD for private residential. However, you will need to dispose of your overseas property if you are buying a HDB flat.

Hi Linda,

If you do not have any residential property in Singapore than there will be no Additional Buyer Stamp Duty as overseas properties are not counted towards the property count. However, when you purchase a property in Singapore, the normal buyer stamp duty of about 3% will still apply.

Please take note Buyer Stamp Duty (BSD) will apply
