Hi Gurus,

Based on the revised property rules from 14 Jan 11, may I know how one's length of ownership of private property is calculated? Is it from date of signing option to purchase or date of the sales/purchase agreeement?

Also, if the option to purchase is signed before 14 Jan 11 but the property sale/purchase agreement is signed after 14 Jan 11, would the owner be subjected to the revised stamp duty rules for the first 4 years or the old stamp duty rules?
