Asked by
Hi Guru,
I'm currently renting a property from the landlord and have been paying him rental monthly. Last month, the landlord told me his company is GST registered now and I have to pay 7% GST on top of my current rental from this month onwards. May I know is this the correct procedure? Our Tenancy Agreement clearly states the rental amount, and suddenly I have to pay an additional 7% in rental because the landlord company is GST registered. I feel this is quite unfair. Shouldnt the landlord have told me this before hand?
Thanks in advance.
