Hi Mr SG, the only option for you to sell the current HDB and to purchase another HDB unit, will be to dispose off your private condo as well.

Yes you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB but you have to dispose off both properties within 6 months from purchase completion date.

By doing this, you will have to fulfill 5 years of minimum occupation before you can purchase a private property again.

I do understand that you wish to own a bigger HDB, most probably for own stay i guess.

If you dont want to dispose off your private property, you might want to consider selling off your HDB to purchase a private property instead?

Our government takes good care of the poor. When you have nothing, you start with HDB and slowly build up your wealth, upgrade your HDB and also get to buy condo as 2nd property. When you start with condo, you not allow to buy or downgrade or upgrade HDB until you sell your condo. But there is a way to do it. Talk to me and I'll share with you.

Happy New Year! Under the current HDB ruling, you will need to dispose off both your HDB and Condo unit if you were to purchase another HDB. After purchase the HDB, there will be a minimum occupation period of 5 years that will be imposed on you during which you will not be able to purchase a private property.

You can't buy HDB when you own private condo, hence in order for you to purchase HDB again, you must sell off you condo.
