can someone enlighten how come properties such as kerrisdale and city square, being so near to red light areas, can fetch such high prices. Is there going to be any plans by the authorities to move out the red light areas?

Hi recca, your question is a hard one! The red light district in general are located at a area that is close to town and has gd eateries + superb accesability options. It is hence considered gd places of investments as well! I do not think the authroities will be relocating the red light district anytime soon, but of course that is my own opinion! Read More

Is this area safe for a lady to walk home at night from the mrt? Is the area swarmed with foreigners loitering around the premises over the weekend? Thanks for answering.

There have been plan to relocate the red light area soon. Also the activities in that area has mellowed in recent times.

As for foreigners loitering, City Square seems to have taken the hardest hit as compared to Kerrisdale.

All being said, Kerrisdale is still the most affordable full facility condo in the vicinity.
