Yes resale flat owners will be able to buy BTO provided that they are able to satisfy the qualifying criteria. If your current HDB is a subsidised flat, you will be subjected to a resale levy as well.

Hi,

1) Yes, resale HDB flat owners are eligible to buy BTO flats. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria spelled out by HDB.

2) You shall be subject to a resale levy if you had received grants in your resale flat purchase.

3) If you are taking 2nd HDB loan, you have to aware of the following:
The second HDB concessionary interest rate loan is granted subject to the following conditions:
(i) up to 50% of the cash proceeds from the sale/disposal of the buyer's and/or his spouse's/fiancé's/fiancée's last owned flat will be taken into account in determining the loan to be granted; and
(ii) full utilization of CPF (subject to the retention amount: Max up to $20k) will be required at the point of loan disbursement.

4) If you intend to get a loan from the financial institute, you must be aware that a financial institution can only loan up to a maximum of 75%.
You have to prepare 5% cash, and 20% cash and/or CPF.
