can a foreigner buy HDB apartments in Singapore?

Dear KC,
Foreigners cannot buy HDB apartment as HDB is meant as a subsidized housing for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.
However, on a brighter note, foreigners can buy private apartments ((known as strata-titled properties) as there are currently no restrictions.
Foreigners can also buy landed properties in Sentosa Cove. However, for buying of other landed properties, foreigners need to apply to the government Singapore Land Authority (SLA) to buy land-titled property such as houses, bungalows and vacant plots of land and the approval will be a case-by-case basis.
Please also note that Foreigners and non-individuals (corporate entities) buying any residential property will pay an additional stamp duty of 10%.
