  Will I still be able to keep my unit if I never fufil the MOP as working overseas but am paying the monthly mortgage? Also if so, am I able to rent out my entire/part of unit if I never satisfy MOP due to work overseas long term.

  My wife is a SC who owns a HDB flat which she bought a year ago which means she still has 4 years of MOP requirement to fulfill. We are planning to move overseas for long term. I am assuming that we will get the special approval to rent out the flat for two years. Now what if we plan to settle overseas permanently during that time. Can we sell the property if we decide to do that? Or we'll have to fulfill the 5 year MOP period as we were given the special permission to rent out the flat in the first place. We are extremely worried about this situation. Please suggest. Thanks
