Upcoming homes in Woodlands
In May 2018, 629 BTO flats were launched for sale. The new development comprises four 16-storey blocks with several eco-friendly features, such as separate chutes for recyclable waste, motion-sensor lighting in common areas and bicycle stands to encourage cycling. The flats are expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2022.
Woodlands BTO flats (May 2018)
There are no launches of new condominiums or executive condominiums (ECs) in Woodlands in 2018, but Northwave EC is expected to receive its TOP in 2019. Developed by Hao Yuan Development, the 99-year leasehold EC is located along Woodlands Avenue 12 and next to the upcoming Woodlands South MRT station. Units at the development are still available for sale at about $805 psf.
There is another newly completed EC that is also located near Woodlands South MRT station. The forest-themed Bellewoods EC was developed by Qingjian Realty and received its TOP in 2017. Prices for the 99-year leasehold development average about $770 psf.

In addition, the government released a white site under the reserve list of the Government Land Sales (GLS) programme for H2 2018. The land parcel is located along Woodlands Square and Woodlands Avenue 2. It is within walking distance of Causeway Point and Woodlands MRT station. An estimated 585 housing units and 78,000 sq m of commercial space can be built. The site will help to sustain the development momentum of Woodlands Regional Centre as a major commercial node outside the city.

Looking ahead, the supply of homes in Woodlands looks set to increase greatly to meet the anticipated increase in demand as Woodlands comes into its own as a regional centre. HDB can be expected to push out more BTO flats in the neighbourhood over the next few years. The government is also expected to put up more land for sale, especially for ECs or mixed-use sites for commercial and residential use.
