Hougang Avenue 5

Hougang Avenue 5 is located in Hougang. Hougang which is located at the back or upstream of the river Sungei Serangoon. The name is derived from the term “heartland” in the local language. It is given this name due to its location as a centre of a bigger area. The area consists of condominiums and Housing & Development Board (HDB) flats. There are about a total of 47,000 units of residential and commercial flats. The area has also its own unique architecture which is the presence of large and semi circular balconies. These kinds of balconies in every unit are not seen outside of this region. Another best thing about this place is the availability of a variety of food options. The street was developed in the year 1982 and since then has seen several changes over the years, wht the last being completed in 1993. There is single bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, four bedrooms, five bedrooms flats as well as executive flats available in the street. Many redevelopment planning has been put to action in order to make the living standards of the residents better.

 

Hougang Street 5 has several means of transportations, both road and railway to make traveling more efficient. For residents who prefer to travel via MRT’s some of the major MRT stations are just within a kilometer radius.
