Bishan Street 12

Bishan Street 12 is located in Bishan, also known as either Bishan New Town or Bishan Town, is a planning area and matured residential town located at the northernmost portion of the Central Region of Singapore. The town of Bishan is the home to about 63k people and consists of approximately 20k HDB flats as per the census of March 2018. The development of the town began as early as 1983 and it took around 6 years to complete the town. Bishan was the first in Singapore to depart from the brutalist design seen in the previous HDB towns of the country. Instead, the blocks in Bishan have distinctive and colorful roofs and linkway structures which evoke images of 'pavilions of the green'.

 

There are approximately 45 blocks of HDB flats available in the Bishan Street 12 with the postal codes of the area ranging from 570117 to 579808. The oldest of HDB blocks were built in the early 1986 whereas the new ones were developed as late as in the early 1987. The HDB Street of Bishan Street 12 has about 1266 HDB units providing a myriad of unit configurations to choose from. However, the most popular type of unit configuration found in Bishan Street 12 are the 3 bedroom units, 4 bedroom units and 5 bedroom units. There are also some executive flats available in the vicinity. ​

 

Accessibility to Bishan Street 12 has never been an issue for the residents as it connected to a network of roads and railway transport networks.
