Happy Staying
I'm staying at 139 Tyrwhitt, the location is fabulous, we watched midnight show and come back within 5 minutes. Despite some bad comments, I choose to stay with the MCST, take up rectification. The hotels nearby has spur up the whole place like a tourist must visit zone. A lot of tourist buses around, watch out as they come from different part of the world. Excellent town area to live in. -

Tyrwhitt 139
Built on what was formerly inter-shophouses (not conserved) and located in between other low rise buildings, it has smallish common rooms. Near jalan besar stadium and has a swimming pool -

Narrow Living space
The psf is too high for this small apartment. Perhaps the Kerrisdale Condominium opposite the road is a more value for money choice given that it has lower psf and nearer to amenities like Farrer Park MRT Station, City Square Mall and Mustafa. -

Very bad construction!
I lived in this complex for 1 year and it was the worse built apartment I have ever lived in. Most of the apartments is the complex leak whenever it rain and the main entrance becomes like a waterfall. The apartment looked new when I moved in as it top in 2008 but when I move out it look over 10 years old. Many other tenants I knew wanted to move out and break lease due to problems and u can see nearly all of the apartments are for sale as the owners know the place is falling to pieces. I would not buy or rent any apartment built by this developer. -

3 mins walk to future Jalan Besar mrt
Congratulations to tyrwhitt 139 owners. Tyrwhitt 139 is just 3 mins walk to the future downtown line stage 3 Jalan Besar mrt station. The new mrt station is located at the junction of lavender street and kallang bahru road (current lavender street coach terminal). Tyrwhitt is thus spoilt with mrt. I walked and timed before.It's currently already only about 6 mins walk to the lavender mrt. Thus, it's location is excellent. -

I saw the apartment about 10 months ago and it look good to me given it location and amenities nearby. From my point of view i find that apartment very convenient in term of transportation and there are alot of good food around which is fantastic point for me because i love good food. A setback is that you will see some working lady at night due to a nightclub nearby. but it should be plus point for single men. This is very subjective to individual needs. But it sure is a very good point for everyone for it location (5 mins walk to Lavender MRT) and you wont go hungary(plenty of good food at your doorstep) -

Disappointing Construction Standard
I am an ex-owner of above project. After collecting the keys, I was extremely disappointed with what I see. More than 50 defects reflected to the developer. Pretty significant flaws include the numerous uneven floor tiles & shoddy workmanship. A walk around the surrounding revealed more shoddy work. Numerous cracked areas in the carpark, loose car stoppers, and primitive security measures which seem like afterthoughts after the project was built. Get ready to put a lot of keys inside your pocket for their 'lock & key' security system if you forget to bring along the lift access card. Their gym is a bareboned gym it's really just for show. I am not going to ever touch a project by this developer again. Thank goodness I manage to offload it. -

Dubious Front
I had to admit going towards the building, there were alot going for it; -good location, near to amenities and transport, and a decent looking front to the building. It wasn't until I parked the car and went exploring the neighborhood, and at first I thought my eyes deceive me. But not only was there an adult shop, all shady and tinted out on the ground floor of the same apartment building, but a very "funny" looking spa next door to that adult shop also in the same apartment complex. Well, I guess when it comes to rental yield, who knows? This might just be a plus... But not appropriate perhaps for families and single females. That's my 2 cents. -
