I saw this nice commercial building called Thomson Plaza on a walk along Thomson Road. Looks like a lovely building with a suburban vibe. We walked in to check out the place and were pleasantly surprised to see how convenient it is for disabled people. A man on a motorised wheelchair was just navigating himself across a couple of levels. In my opinion, it would be ideal for shoppers with disabilities who may have trouble navigating other malls. It’s also close to a future MRT station on the Thomson East-Coast Line.
With the Bishan and Marymount MRT stations a short distance away, I have loved checking in to Thomson Plaza. The convenience of Thomson Plaza was the most important reason for buying a home nearby. It’s close to reputable schools, childcare facilities and the Singapore Island Country Club. I also like the fact that it offers easy access to the disabled and there’s plenty of parking available.
My father appreciates this wheelchair-friendly building since we started shopping at Thomson Plaza. He can move around between different levels of this barrier-free complex. Even the larger toilets are convenient for him when he visits. It’s even got three dedicated parking lots for the disabled. I’m a regular jogger at MacRitchie Reservoir, which is not too far away from Thomson Plaza.
