Our home for 4 years
Enjoyed our time at the Tessarina, a lovely community. Friendly gardeners and cleaners, overall a happy vibe. During the lease, the number of amenities dwindled substantially - Turf City and Sime Darby closure severely reduced the number of activities and conveniences for this neighbourhood. Eventually this, and the constant construction on Bukit Timah Road, pushed us away. Management are unwilling to help residents on many matters, and quite sneaky to keep deposits for rentals. Should invest in some maintenance and cosmetic repairs around the estate. -

Well run condominium with decent facilities
Great management keeps the common areas in shape. Most bedrooms are decent sized and bigger than the shoeboxes these days. Walking distance to super markets and good schools. -

Lived in Tessarina for 3 years. Unit was inner facing and it was surrounded by beautiful landscaping making it tranquil. Loved the convenience of this location. You are close to the city but get to escape the city buzz. You also have a seven eleven, medical and dental clinic and a small coffee shop right at your door steps. You don’t find that at other properties in this area. Transport links is great too. There is a bus stop right outside the condo and it’s between 2 train lines. Overall enjoyed my stay in Tessarina! -

The Tessarina
Been to the many condos around this area and settled here. One of the better ones in terms of space, facilities and ammenities. There is always a subjective element. So look around the various condos before deciding. -

Select newly renovated ones
Facing Bukit Timah Road is noisy and doesn't have sun light so it is humid. Look for renovated flat as original setting is getting old. many things may need to repair or replace. Many are investor owners, and like previous comments said, many complaints don't care, or even deduct your deposit for every wear and tear when you move out. Be careful and watch out! -

Tessarina--Living as an expat
Had Rented a 2+study facing Old Holland Rd for >5 years. It has been the happiest times as we had moved from another condo in the East which was not so convenient. Our Unit is very well laid out. We love the side gate near our block as it is not only quiet but gave us great access to the coffee shop, 7-11 and amenities. Condo is well run and tried moving in 3rd year but after checking other condos..we never made the move as we love the convenience of being able to walk to 6th ave; condo facilities,the mix of nationalities and buses & MRT; and free bus to Giant at Grandstand. Living in ,Tessarina made our stay in Singapore memorable!. We are sad to return to a house (without these conveniences )in Europe. Our Tween daughter loves the unit and is sad our job posting has ended. -

Avoid ALL units facing Bt Timah Rd
Very noisy and dusty unless you turn on the ac the whole day. The road noise is incessant despite the nice view of the Bt Timah hills from across the road. Lived here on the 6th level for 1.5 yrs with stingy Landlord who refuses to fix anything and charge for everything wear&tear. MRT is 15 mins walk and not pleasant to walk through noisy and busy Bt Timah Road. Bad experience in all! -

Old and noisy
I rented this place for a year. Initially was planning to rent Nexus or Cascadia. But due to the agent's glib, I was bought in. The moment when the tenancy agreement was signed did I realised that the agent wanted was high handed and did not bother to help out in much of the administrative duties like stamping at the duty office, moving companies ...etc. Nevertheless, we thought we should do it on our own as it was just a 1 year rental. As the days went by many of the furniture and appliances started to break down. We had to get it repaired and paid for it ourselves. The appliances and toiletries inside the condo was also not in the best condition. Because the rubbish disposal was inside the condo, pest such as cockroaches and other pest creep into the house. In the end we have to resort to sealing the rubbish opening to prevent these creepy crawlies from coming in. In addition, Tessarina is just beside Bukit Timah Road, the noise from the roads, the cars, buses, motorcycles was non stop till midnight. Dust and soot from the road creeps into the house easily that you have no choice but to close the windows all the time. There is only one thing to do, that is to keep the aircon on all the time when you're in the house. In the end, I got allergies from all those dust. Never will I live anywhere beside the roads anymore. It is better to pay more for condos that are further away from the road. A bit of inconvenience but so much less noisy and dusty. -

Great for Family but Noisy
Having stayed here for more then 2 years, this place is great for family with kids with great outdoor space. Half the units are rented out by landlords to professionals and strangely not many to foreign students unlike the condos around KAP area as there are many international schools nearby along the Bt Timah rd. I assumed mngt control of illegal subletting is tight. However, having lived in 2 units here, this place is every noisy due to lack of solid walls inside the homes. Wing Tai furnishings are great though what is the point when u are staying on the higher flrs and still hear car doors or lobby doors banging at carpark & neighbours daily activities inside their own home? Ground floor dwellers must be so accommodating. Some units are multi-generational and definitely too cramped up! Just look at the clothes hanging at the windows. Not my idea of prestige living. -
