Noisy and low class quality
Units facing MRT are very noisy, even at highest floors, and units materials are quite low quality, below average compared to most condos in the 1,000 - 1,500 psf range. Facilities are ok but it's far from restaurants and supermarket. There are much better choices at this price. -

extremely noisy
am a regular visitor here. condos that are next to above ground train stations or mrt tracks don't deserve any premium at all, in fact they should sell at discounts . imagine trying to sleep past 6 am in the morning and the train wakes you up every single day without fail.. life is stressful enough and to cap it all , condos near mrts like metropolitan have to put up with lack of sleep. double glazed windows dont work. not livable. -

Just too noisy!
The MRT noise is just unbearably loud. I want to get out of the place as soon as my lease ends. Yes, it's new and has full condo facilities. But, considering this, the MRT runs 6:00 am -24:00 pm. If you want to have good night sleep, you practically only have 6 hrs, 24:00am-6:00am. That is just too few. Also, there is no supermarket nearby. It takes you 15 minutes to go to the closest NTUC unless you take MRT to Tiong Bahru to shop there. The rent is definitely too high for such a noisy place. With that budget, you can easily get a better place in a better area!!! -

too high price
i personally feel this property is over-priced be it buying or renting. this is not really a quiet and peaceful enviroment so why pay such high price whereby we could get many other better location with lesser $ -

not impress by price
would be a good investment if it was not flipped so many times. this will be one of those development where 70% are rented out. when i was there, there was only 40% occupants despite being all sold out...seem difficult to rent out at the asking price i heard. -

Ideal Investment
I have being in scouting Metropolitan for the last few weeks and will like to voice some comments. This project is just TOP in Jun '09( it's new) Yes, there is sound from the MRT, is noticable but bearable. It do have excellent view of city, sea and Greenery and unblock hill view from Bukit Timah (don't find this view often in Singapore). MRT station is just less than 50m away from the sidegate. Coffee shops and market are in the void deck of HDBs and are walking distance. Very good investment for rental as cause i can't get a unit for rent now (2 bedrooms). The price now is consider reasonable for Metropolitan compare to the Ascentia Sky, which is next door is really SKY....... high price. I find it's a ideal investment. -

Fantastic Metropolitan!!
The close proximity to the Redhill MRT station is it's main weakness, but also it's main selling point. Amenities are plentiful in the nearby redhill market & tiong bahru plaza. It is also a short distance from Dawson & Anchorage, not to mention a 5 mins drive from Orchard Road. -

Good
Just visited my friend's new condo at Metropolitan (recently TOP in early Jun '09). His unit is on the high floor, surprisingly, the sound of the MRT is noticable but bearabe. Excellent view of city area, hdb flats, sea (yes!!!) and bukit timah hill. MRT station is just a few steps away from the sidegate. Just 3 stations away from Tanjong Pagar (where I work). Very good investment for rental as well as own stay. Now I am so tempted to buy one unit myself. -

Does any one know about the duration of the construction work at adjacent condo "Ascentia Sky"? -
