Pest, Light and Maintenance Issues
Agree with other reviewers. It is an old block, so even if you save on rent, you will pay for it in maintenance. As renter I pay for a lot of repairs even though things have just broken due to age eg lights, fans, fittings and fixtures. Be careful what lease you sign. Cockroaches are also a big problem. We also have leaking pipes in the kitchen. The concrete in the roof around some of the pipes is also decaying (more relevant if you are buying). Some felll off. The same happened with a neighbour. Choose apartment with light blocking curtains as it is very light at night. The management is very strict, but you would expect that for a large block.Was this review helpful? Report review -

Ridgewood Condo
Walls are thin and can hear flushing and shower of your neighbour. The walls are very weak and tend to crack. Extremely poor internal. Constant issues with plumbing, pest (which is almost everyday and monthly need to call in pest control) and leaking kitchen. Need to walk to good 10 mins for bus. Rainy days its very difficult. On rainy units with balcony have major issues as rain water gets in when windows are left open.Was this review helpful? Report review -

Ridgewood Condo
Extremely poor old piping. Constant pest issues (every month need to call in pest control for cockroaches). Piping in toilet and kitchen gets stuck and need to call in plumber almost quarterly. Kitchen leaks. Ceiling cracks. No proper follow up by management for piping issues.Was this review helpful? Report review -

Sleepless nights
Rented a condo on a low floor (not a corner unit) and cannot wait until my lease is up. Plumbing is a huge issue. Every time my upstairs neighbor or my next door neighbor flushes the toilet, turns on the tap or takes a shower, I hear it from the master bedroom. And it sounds like it is coming from my own unit. It is that loud. To make matters worse, my unit faces Mount Sinai Drive, and the buses and delivery trucks start plying the road at around 6:00 am if not earlier. If I'm not up by then, I am woken up by the noise. Finally, the condo's hallway lights shine in to bedrooms 2 and 3. If you don't have blackout curtains, you better get them. Otherwise, it's as if you're sleeping under a street lamp. I don't recommend this condo for rental.Was this review helpful? Report review -

Been checking out units in this condo. Noticed that walls within units are thin as they are not made of concrete. Not suitable for people who are light sleepers, or sensitive to sound and/or light. Can hear residents next door or upstairs turning on taps, flushing toilets flushing and closing or opening doors. Lights from common corridor, if unit is along corridor, will stream in unless blocked out by blackout curtains.Was this review helpful? Report review -

Renters Beware
Grounds may be spacious but unless units are newly renovated, not recommended for tenants. Condo was built in 1970s and so, everything is OLD. Things keep breaking down every now and then. Replacement expense if borne by Tenant, whether wholly or partly, will raise the effective rent. For the location, due to inaccessibility of public transport, not worth renting unless one has a car and feels that big spacious common facilities and grounds is an absolute must.Was this review helpful? Ridgewood Condo
Hidden gem. After renting various new condos in Bt Timah finally found one in this great condo. Units are spaced apart esp the blocks do not look into each others kitchen or bathroom. Peaceful and quiet with nice views that are spectacular on the high floors. See MBS and fireworks!! Uncrowded condo facilities. Lots of space for my kids to play.Was this review helpful?
