Excellent location, quiet and charming
Very conveniently located within mins from MRT stations and bus stops, near many schools. Just 1 station away from Holland Village, with many restaurants as well as Star Vista nearby. Quiet and peaceful. -

Unloved
I lived here for only 3 months and needed to leave. Firstly, there is massive construction work that takes place from early morning to late at night. The facilities are not maintained. Also things in the apartments are pooly contructed and many things broke while staying here. The pros are you are near MRT and shops, but that's about it. -

Quiet home in the growing bio / tech / uni to
Condo is off the main road, very quiet with nice layout and good quality furnishings. Situated conveniently in the growing tech and biotech areas, with NUS and INSEAD nearby as well. -

The facilities are abandoned
I lived in this condo in 2010 and it was fantastic. Came back 8 years later to find out that the condo it's been abandoned to the point that the facilities are absolutely ruined. The management is useless and they don't push the committee to replace the damaged facilities, so you for the price we are paying here , you can find amazing places to live in Singapore. Can't wait my lease to finish to move from this condo. -

Amazing Location
I lived in One North (#11-19) for nearly two years and found the location amazing. I have not lived there for a while and when I drive by now I see the area has really grown. So many more restaurants, east access to the MRT, and grocery stores nearby (with a convenience store in the building). It is a fairly quiet building, but with a nice set of pools: a family pool in the centre and a more adult-oriented pool on the roof with amazing views. Highly recommended to any expats who do not seek the CBD lifestyle, but still want easy access to the MRT. -

Unique place!
Having lived here for slightly more than a year, I'd say this place has a unique charm unlike many other condos. Being nestled in the midst of Biopolis, The Sandcrawler and INSEAD, this condo feels like a university town, almost like a campus.There is a fairly eclectic mix of folks living here...both expats and locals; swinging singles to families. The place can be both lively and peaceful. Neighbours are friendly and discrete. I have personally never felt any intrusion into my private space.The place is surrounded by mature trees and greenery along the entire perimeter. A convenience store is just downstairs and Jimmy Monkey (cafe) serves excellent coffee and brunch. Numerous restaurants are within a 1km radius - ranging from Indian vegeterian at the Biopolis, upscale dining at Rochester Park, or Penang buffet at Fusionopolis. Holland Village is also just 1 station away.For triathletes, the main pool is of a decent length and not some odd shape like many other condos. 30 laps will yield 1km. A Park Connector is just nearby and it stretches all the way to West Coast and sufficient for a half marathon.Those with children, locals or expats, would also be spoilt for choice. From the Fairfield/ACS cluster for locals to Dover Preparatory/Tanglin Trust for expats.As it is virtually the only residential complex in the One North area, population density is very low, hence the nights are extremely quiet and peaceful. You can actually hear nature sing at night!The property is currently managed by Knight Frank and being a top tier manager, I have hardly anything to complain about.The only downside? it doesn't have a tennis court .. :P -

Where are my neighbours?
8 months in of my lease and I can count the number of other residents on one hand!The pro of this is having peace and serenity, the con is that I'm a 28 year old hot blooded male!The rent didn't come cheap either, it was just convenient to my work place, but there's no amenities nearby, restaurants in Rochester are bleh and I find myself having to travel out using cabs to go to town for some life, as the only operational MRT (Buona Vista) is a good ten minute walk away and who wants to be out on a date with sweaty armpits???The other plus point about not having any other neighbours are that the walls are extremely thin, on weekends when agents are showing prospects the other flats, I can hear conversations from the floor!Anyway, four more months to go on my lease, and I'm outta here! -

Property Prices
One North got my attention and it seemed to be a nice place to be at. However, riding on the launch of its neighbour, The Rochester, owners are hoping to sell at a much higher price.Other than the current new measures and with more supplies being pour into the market, can the sky high prices that owners are shouting sustainable?? There are reports which indicates that if the latest cooling measures implemented on 14 Jan 2011 still doesn't work, there will be yet another round of curbs! Is Property still a sure good assets or it has become a big liability? As interest rates remains all time low, the pinch has yet to be felt. Should interest rates starts increasing (which there are strong signs of increasing rates), increasing supplies and curbing of demands, anyone who can do maths should be able to decipher the results. Price cannot go up as Mah will keep hitting it one round after another. It must go down before Mah reverses his rules. Blessed are those who have Mah on their side :) -

X-factor
It is easy to search for properties based on location, size, amenities and budget, but it is often hard to nail one with the type of tenants/owners that this one has. Perhaps it is because Buona Vista is an interchange station for the upcoming circle line, or perhaps there are many foreign workers in biopolis/fusionopolis, this place looks and feels like it is built for expats and so not surprisingly, there are many expats living here. The area feels exclusive, and strangely public, almost like you are living in a hotel area with galleries and shops. Those who are staying in the units facing the park get very good view and there is even a sky deck for sun bathing and a separate one for parties/functions. Unlike other new condos, this one does feel like a condo because it looks inviting at night and feels expensive with the marble lift lobbies and its exclusive status as the one and only condominium at One-North area. Once the Rochester area builds up, this property will enjoy all the amenities opposite, while remaining exclusive and quiet. Extremely prime location. -
