northern home
stay here at Northwood condo in district 27, literally north of singapore in sembawang/yishun area. it's slightly ulu but that means peace, although further away from amenities. need to see what you prioritise lo. Yishun mrt is about 30min walk, so need to take a bus to the station. it's easy to go to Sembawang Hot Spring park though! just a small hot spring but it's quite fun. it's also near the Sembawang Airbase so often will have helicoptor sounds. but nobody disturbs you here, it's all good for me as I like to be in my own world. -

pool is great for my laps
take a dip, splash in the pool, great for doing my laps all day every day. well maintained and very nice. other wonderful features of Northwood condo is that it's a low rise 5 storey freehold but affordable price point, and has a lovely playground in the neighbourhood that my little ones like to visit. we alternate between swimming and playground. before moving in, heard the transport situation isn't too good but i drive so it's okay. we stay in a 4bedroom unit that's over 2,000 sqft. and it's plenty of space for my little family of 4. -

breezy with full facil
Northwood by UIC is the ultimate expression of privacy, low rise with pool frontage, in a serene environment at Jalan Mata Ayer. just 5 floors for that landed resort feels. i stay in a 2 bedroom with my housemate, the apt is big enough for us. breezy units so comfortable and airy, and often visit Chong Pang market for food and stuff. don't really need to travel out much, just enjoy the full facilities here like swimming pool, bbq pit, gym, tennis court, jacuzzi, sauna, clubhouse, playground, fitness station. Grab out is easier than taking public transport. -

Carpark and condo mgt needs to improve
Second car owners gets carpark lots by balloting done once in 6 months only. And getting thru to management can be very challenging . This condo is not recommended for owners with two cars. -

Mixed feelings
Photos look much nicer than in real life. But after all it is not a new condo. But if you got visitors, there are chances of not able to park inside. -

Quality of condo is bad and Condo management
I have rented and stay in Northwood for 2 years. The helicopter noise is really loud and the kitchen plates and utensils can actually Vibrates. The humidity at the area is also bad for health. -

Disappointment
We went there with high hope to get an apartment that we can call our home as we like the quietness.. but once I stepped into the condo, it's so disappointed.. it's so rundown - the painting of the external building, the playground, the pathway, worse then a 30 years old years old condo. worst is the maintenance fee is high (abt 1500 per 1/4) and yet no shuttle bus and with limited car park lot. there is only 5 visitor carpark lot, not guests friendly. I viewed 2 units in this condo, and both has the same problem - water leakage from upstairs, fine line cracks on the wall tiles. -

Under-value freehold condo
I have been monitoring freehold condo in North zone and Northwood condo by far is among the best freehold condo in the North. Quiet and peaceful at night. No road noise at all. Good transport network. This condo price can jump few fold if one day Sembawang airbase move to Changi new airforce base. And this land can built 10 or 15 storey apartment, enbloc for sure. It is always possible. This freehold condo is worth to buy anything below S$950 per Square feet. -

Wrong Choice
The place is nice, but looks could be deceiving... Rude rude security guards and condo manager... They would harass you even for just a little sound that you make in your own unit!.. Like you are staying in prison.. Very very inconsiderate management, they are cultivating a negative culture in this beautiful place... -
