I'm coming home!
love coming home to Maplewoods every evening. The landscaping is really something else, feels like a small resort instead of a condo. My kids enjoy feeding the fishes near the ponds and always ask to stop by the waterfall after our daily dinner walks. Pool is huge, gym is decent and there's even a small cafe which is quite handy on lazy stay-in weekends. Lots of expat families here because of the international schools nearby, so making global friends is easy. Only thing is mosquitoes can be quite annoying after rain despite regular fogging. Better keep insect repellent at home. -

old-sch vibe
Maple Woods provides space, not like a shoebox condo. Units are much bigger than usual launches and the whole estate has this very peaceful, old-school vibe. Trees R everywhere so it's always cooling when walking around. What really gave me the confidence to take the plunge was the freehold status despite the 1997 age. If you don't mind older design, I think this condo still has plenty of charm and value to offer its residence. -

Bukit Timah choice
Maple Woods is good for me as I work around one-north. theKing Albert Park MRT is within walking distance, with a Cold Storage for my groceries, cafes and food nearby. The estate itself is quiet and not packed like those mega developments;; although disclaimer there's like 700 units here. I like going for morning runs with greenery and birds around, makes me hate my runs less lol. -

well maintained grounds
Maple Woods has well maintained grounds, and estate full of lush trees and greens. very peace especially in morning. kids love cycling around the compound too. pools also big enough for a nice swim even on weekend. there's even a little cafeteria beside the pool which is nice after a swim. The gym is also much bigger than expected! a proper resort feel which is getting harder to find nowadays. -

NOT a shoebox yay
Bought my unit years ago and so grateful for the space. New condos nowadays feel like shoeboxes but NOT Maple Woods! Here, units are much more generous and practical. The estate itself is huge with lots of landscaping, tennis courts, squash court and nice walking paths. Really suitable if you have active kids or even dogs. Location also cannot complain, KAP MRT, eateries and MGS are all nearby. Some common areas and fittings look dated and once in awhile got plumbing issues, but that's expected for an older freehold development. -

Neighbourhood vibe
Maple Woods has a really nice neighbourhood vibe, lots of fellow expat families and friendly local folks. Morning walks under the big trees are my favourite part of the day! Gym is decent size and there are FOUR tennis courts, which certainly quite rare. Btw be careful about going to wrong lift lobby because not every block connects the same way. Basement carpark also gets a little damp after heavy rain. But overall it's well maintained considering the age, and the freehold status plus MRT just opposite makes it a solid place to stay. -

Aged, damp feel, convenient, and tips for ten
I was a tenant of 993, stayed in a 3-bedroom unit on 7th floor for three years. The location is convenient. However, the unit did show signs of age, with some dampness and wear in fixtures and finishes — typical of older developments. Future tenants should be mindful of the move-out process. Despite having taken good care of the unit, we faced notable deductions from our deposit without receiving a detailed breakdown or official invoice/payment proof. Some charges appeared to cover wear and tear typical for an older unit, and were much higher than market average. Overall, while the living environment was generally fine, we recommend tenants keep detailed records and clarify move-out expectations early — especially for longer leases in older properties. -

Favourite Condo
I am an owner at 987. I like the swimming pool, restaurant, amenities n mist important King Albert MRT. I can get to Marina Bay shopping centre straight n in comfort. Happy owner for 15 years. -

Units are too dark
Have been living here almost 4 years, the units are very dark and filled up still air. Unless you get one of those rare penthouses, regular units are not efficient in the layout. Windows look out to trees blocking view, or the middle of your block compund. The layout does remind me of university dormitories. Another issue is lots of mosquitoes, you get bitten even when swimming at the pool. Most master bedroom toilets have no window, no exhaust fan, so imagine how dark a hole you walk into. Other than that, mgmt is decent. Kids can have fun, near to trains and good schools. -
