Best in the neighbourhood
This is one of the biggest development i have stayed in. The low number of units vs the gigantic development size is just incredible. Getting my son for a walk around the development and follow by a swim on the 50m pool is a weekly routine which is excellent for our bonding session. Don't even need to get out of the development even though the East Coast Park is just <2KM away. Carpark lots are aplenty and never full. Driving to the city using the ECP is just a 15mins effort and not to mention Bedok Mall and Parkway Parade is a stone throw away! Lots of western / asian expats living in this place. A prize trophy! -

Nice but has drawbacks
I viewed a few units in the development a few months ago when I was looking to buy a new family home. The landscaping and facilities were impressive. There are a few swimming pools (that didn't seem to be very busy, even when I was there on a weekend) and even a tennis court. There seems to be adequate parking, and maintenance appeared to be fairly good as well (although time will tell, given that the place is still fairly new). The units themselves have quite practical layouts with reasonably sized bedrooms and nice open-plan dry kitchens in the 3 and 4 bedroom units that we viewed. Note that some of the units closer to the waterfall water feature can be quite noisy unless you keep your windows and balcony door closed. However, ultimately we did not follow up post-viewings for the following reasons: (i) most of the units were purchased by the first owners at near-peak prices and a lot of them are continuing to hold out for a better price, (ii) my wife and I may not be particularly superstitious (we knew about this prior to the viewings) but living right next to a cemetery is rather daunting, especially after you give it a bit more thought, and (iii) transport links are not great - even the upcoming MRT station (which will only be ready in 2023) is still a considerable walk away. -

Overpriced Condo
It is extremely overpriced for a property that lacks transportation option.It is a busy two way street and it's difficult to hail a cab outside the condo.The only upside is that it's quite which is fitting since it's right next to a cemetery . -

The Hidden Gem of the east
I recently bought a place at FV, and I absolutely love this place. The rather simple main entrance belies the lush green enclave that it is. It's just a short 6 min walk to 'main street' Siglap, which gives you access to 2 supermarkets, lots of food options and even an Irish Pub! This is topped off by easy access to the ECP and also a regular shuttle bus to Bedok MRT (and hence Bedok central). -

Lack Transportation Options
Think the price is way too high. It's well known there is a cemetary just next to the development. Its noted no taxi driver dares to stop along that stretch of Siglap to pick up anyone. Not that many cars pass there anyway. So you probably have to book a taxi in. Bus numbers 42 going to Kembangan MRT & 40 from Bedok stop in front of the condo. If you come in from Siglap with 40 got to stop at the bus-stop opp the cemetry. Developer probably gives shuttle bus to MRT for a year after that its anyone's guess. The upcoming East Line is also likely to be away from here accessible by bus. Def not by walking little far. Everything like the agent says is available / nearwith a feeder bus only. Can't imagine walking pass the cemetry to get to Siglap Centre too. Even if can afford a car still for the Raffles Place city crowd taking the MRT is a hassle on time.And for children again unless driven looks like school buses probably charge more. -

Good Review
Impressive with Flamingo Valley landscaping & concept living. Miyake never fail to show his creative mind. Definitely an icon of the East. The actual unit show unit is a value add from the developer as potential buyers would love to see the real thing. Where else other developers only shows mock up units where the end product can be horribly wrong. Compliments to the sales rep Hanafi who attended to me and my husband, he was very detailed, precise and knows very well the project inside out. -

One of a kind
Not yet completed but Flamingo sure looks like a winner... with some blocks elevated and others at the bottom of the valley, it makes a magnificent setting. Douch think the cemetery will be much of a concern That is zoned for residential under the masterplan and it will move away in time to come. Reckon the yet-to-be-announced Siglap station to be a short walk away too. -

History
History is that no one should discount on a location because only 1 side is a muslim cemetery. What guarantee us that in the past no one has died or killed in every where we are living at? The true fact is that there is nothing to worry or concern about :) -

Ugh ! Next to Cemetery
I am a freehold lover and I like Flamingo for its name, district, design and freehold status. Being a Singaporean, I know land is scarce and freehold land next to a cemetery is unavoidable. However, my general feeling is that given a choice, people will not want to live next to a cemetery. And now is the time when there are many choices. As a freehold lover, I may be able to live there but if I choose to sell, will this point be an issue ? I cannot tell as the "NOW" factor cannot be ignored especially when you are talking millions of dollars. -
