maybe not for those with walking troubles
located uphill, Cherryhill is kinda steep for less mobile people especially seniors if travelling here by foot or public transport. excellent location and ambience too bad about the accessibiility. also a bit tough when needing to wrangle baby stroller and wheelchair seems almost impossible... access the lifts via basement. worth it... sunset colorus here are simply the best!!! -

Cherryhill, in D19 at Lor Liew Lian is a freehold development by WingTai Holdings, with 10 floors and completed in 1994. nice amenities with putting green, squash court, tennis court, pool and bbq. -

Cherryhill
Viewed a penthouse unit for sale recently and was expecting to see some wow factors given the exorbitant asking price. But was totally disappointed as the entire estate appears very rundown and unsightly albeit it has undergone refurbishment recently. Common areas around the lift lobby is pretty dim and even clustered with bulky stuff (bicycles, shoes racks and even trolley etc) which is uncommon in most condominiums we had viewed. Need to use stairs to access to some common facilities and even the main gate thus in general not an elderly friendly environment. The internal of the unit viewed was equally disappointing given its outdated carpentry and absence of windows in the kitchen for good ventilation. , -

Good location, Peaceful and Quiet.
Just 8min walk to Serangoon MRT station and 11min walk to NEX shopping ctr. Near to kopi tiam and Market. The place is quiet and Peaceful . -

CHERRYHILL
The entire property has just completed a makeover and repainting in late 2012. There is also a change in estate management which explained for the poor maintenance and landscaping outlook previously. Gym equipment has also been fixed. Looking spanking new although you can't compare to those ultra high tech ones. Reason for high 2nd vehicle rate is because of the relatively low monthly management fees. Estate is near to many amenities like kopitiams, mama shops, NEX and Serangoon MRT, all within acceptable walking distance even for the elderly. -

Good points : Near to amenities and not too far away from Serangoon MRT - about 8 to 10 mins walk. Property value is lower than comparative condos - good point for potential buyers. Bad points - very poor maintenance, whole area looks very run down and old-fashioned. Pool is so small,Even the gym equipments are not all functioning. Carparks are very limited - second car owners have to pay $100 per month - one of the MOST expensive non CBD condo car parking rates. Maintenance fee is comparatively expensive-wonder what they do with all the monies collected.Property value is lower than comparative condos - bad point for owners. one look and one can easily understand why the price of this freehold property can be lower than that of most 99year lease hold properties nearby. -
