Value for money. But management is bad and no
Value for money. But management is bad and no common area. Things dont get repaired for ages. No playground. No taxi drop off point even. -

Quiet, Clean and Accessible Estate
Great location with Stevens MRT within walking distance We have neighbours with kids in SCGS, ACS and SJI, and plenty long time residents who like the quiet area. We love the small community here. The estate is clean and well maintained. -

Great location
Great location with a short walking distance to steven road mrt. Short cut direct from apartment to MRT. Near top schools like SCGS ACS SJI and within 1km . Prime D10 freehold with reasonable price -

Owner Review
We live here with our school going kids and are very happy with the estate and the neighbours. There are many families with kids who go to the schools nearby. It is a quiet development and we enjoy the surroundings very much. With the new pathway that's built, we have very quick access to Stevens MRT and the bus stops along the main road. Overall, we are very happy staying in this estate. -

Unpleasant visit to Chateau Le Fame
Wanted to let everyone who is reading the reviews that I had an Unpleasant visit to Chateau Le Fame. Had to waddle through some ponding in the car park to view the apartment. Overall building structure looks old and dated. The apartment I went to view located at the top floor was in bad condition. The tiles are stained and very old. the master bedroom toilet is badly stained on the tilings on the walls has some foul smell coming out from the drainage hole. Swimming pool looks very old and unmaintained. No other facilities. Left the place without giving a second thought to renting the unit there. -

Lifts are not working | Accident Prone
Went for a viewing session the other day. Had to climb all the way up the stairs to the top floor view the unit as the lift was faulty. Unit we viewed is old. Building is very old. Saving grace is some painting had been done. Noticed Car park has alot of rain water and ponding. Almost knocked into another vehicle at the main entrance to the car park when we left the premises. This is place dangerous for drivers and those with young children. -

Poorly Structured Property and Lousy Living
My relative is a resident there. Almost every time when I visit them, I have to park on the main road as there are no lots in the place. We were summoned by the authorities many times due to the road side park which we have no choice but to park outside. Weekends are horrible. Traffic is heavy in the small road to main road. You have to pray it does not rain. The whole car park will be flooded. Despite the new coat of paint, there is nothing done to the leaking, piping, electrical wirings of this development. Roof top leaking water. The electrical appliances are intermittently working. You can get shocks coming from switching on the light at times. No water supply to the back yard of their toilet. Complain from neighbours from my relative there is a lot of screaming and fighting at night. Police Officers frequent this apartment a lot at night. Given a choice, I would rather stay in an old HDB. -

Not recommended for families
I used to visit a relative regularly in this condominium & stayed over for several months. The location of this property is near to town. However, taking public transport is a hassle as you would need to walk out to the MRT station at Newton which is quite a distance away. Alternatively, one can take buses to orchard area but again, walking out to the main road & crossing it takes up considerable time. I noticed lots of ongoing construction which causes several obstructions & it is frustrating having to watch out for heavy vehicles moving in & out of that region so frequently. Lots of cockroaches at night- probably coming out from the smelly/dirty drains in the condominium! The stairs leading up to the units are very near to the entrance. This is a bad structure as kids may fall from the stairs if they are not carefully supervised. Overall, i will NOT recommend this place to families with kids as this property is not family-friendly with very limited space for any outdoor activity. Though the interiors may be renovated, the exteriors & facilities are poorly maintained. Just my honest opinion. -

Good surroundings
We came to view this estate as we want to purchase a home in the vicinity. We were very impressed with the quiet surroundings, which was ideal for our family. We visited on a weeknight evening (about 5pm) and again on a weekend morning. There were some kids playing in the pool, but not the noisy boistrous irritating type. The security personnels were friendly but firm in handling us--strangers. We noticed that the entire estate had a new coat of paint, which was very good. The lifts and stairs were clean and well-maintained. Location wise, we tried the 8-10 min to walk out to the bus stop. Traffic was may be challenging to turn out to the main road. Public transport is ok as many buses serve the main trunk road--Bukit Timah. The nearest fast food was good ol Mac's which is a 12 min walk out, and we saw a Cold Storage, SPC petrol station all nearby. About the neighbours--a mix of family with school going kids, 3-4 couples. Very decent estate. We bought a unit and can't wait to move in! (just in time for school registration too!) -

Poorly maintained development
We were there for viewing and were shocked to see mild ponding of water at the carpark during heavy rain. Cleaning equipments were left openly at a corner in a messy manner. Lacking of maintenance at most of the common areas.Perhaps the units are mostly rented out hence the management does not care. -
