Not much of a view from park facing units
For block 16 and 24, even though some of the units that face Bishan Park gets unblock view, it is only a partial view due to the bulky old-style window and frame (design cannot be changed due to facade of building). Clover at The Park (Bishan Park facing units) is definitely better as you get a nice balcony and bedroom windows design are much modern and nicer and has a clear view of Bishan Park. -

Common facilities can be improved in tandem
Common facilities can be improved in tandem to the number of units. the pool can be bigger and common areas better taken care of. Otherwise, this is quite a good condo and near good schools -

A nice and pleasant condo to stay
My family is living at bishan park condo for 20 yrs. We find this condo a peaceful and pleasant place to stay.There is sufficient 1st car parking lots. The security staff are tolerant and ok in their duties, which is not liked by visitors although there is limited visitors lots.Some visitors and residents knowing the situation of car parking lots insist on parking at the condo under the pretext of 'drop off', a comment word used.Well their vehicles get clamped. Other then that, the residents normally keep to themselves. The Bishan Park is at the back entrance of the condo which is an added poit to stay here.Value for money place to invest. -

Terrible experience with rude security guard
Was there to view a unit that was on sale earlier today. Definitely echoing all your sentiments about the parking issue. Got into an unpleasant argument with the security guard who insisted that the visitors lot was full despite there being one empty visitor lot left. My family and I parked at the last visitor lot and returned to our car to find a warning note. When we spoke to the guard Selamat, he yelled so loudly at us and insisted that we should not have parked without obtaining a pass from him ( something which he did not provide us with in the very first place!)Very unprofessional and even urged us to go ahead and complain to his management about him.Apart from this, I loved the condo unit and the facilities. Old spacious condo units are now hard to come by... -

Very mediocre estate
Moved here for 1 month. All I have to say is, it's livable for the rental price. Given a choice, I would look at the gardens across the road. The earlier post about it being the best place is probably by an owner, hence the positively bias note. Met a ex colleague who lives in block 24, whom told me her lifts are not working independently of each another. Which is a problem because you can only see the indicator at ground level. At apartment level, you won't be able to tell which levels the lifts are currently at, so one ends up pressing both lifts separately. Thankfully my block doesn't have this issue. Other than a smelly rubbish chute area, I'm generally satisfied but not impressed. -

Best Condo in D20
Bishan Park condominium is the best place to live in Thomson area. I have lived here for 18 years and will continue to live in this condo. Can't think of a better place for my family and children. -

updated info
it is an old condo. recently repainted, though choice of colours can be debated. small pool, smaller gym (within a squash court).design wise, its very bad. it really does flood (or maybe called water ponding, as it is known in Singapore) when it rains heavily. especially block 24. lifts went down because of water seeping into the lift shaft. Mgt was not able to get it up quickly because they took their time sourcing for quotes, only then ordering and waiting for parts. there was a couple of instances in late oct 2013 where both lifts were down at the same time and everyone had to take the stairs. a good way to meet the neighbours though.if you are a car lover, forget it, you can hardly find a lot that's fully sheltered. drive anything longer than a mid size sedan, you will either have your front or rear sticker out of the cover. lots are of odd shaped too, so if you do not park well, you may end up knocking the walls now and then.there are really a couple of security guards that behave like prison wardens. I seen one who seem to like to pick on kids, barking at them etc. some are very strict with visitors and 'visitors lot full' is permanently up.some blocks are next to 2 secondary schools, and it does get quite noisy to say the least.good side is that its right next to bishan park and has a decently sized gardens for kids to run around, that's if that security guard doesn't come barking at them. -

Park here for good!
My family has lived here for almost a decade and I must say it is home to us in a way that no other home has been for us. My parents simply love the peacefully tranquil environment. And now with the newly spruced up park and the fact that the condo has a back door direct access, they now make it a point to go for evening strolls and even take iPhone photos along the way! What could be more heart warming than that?In all honesty, they don't build such family-friendly developments with full facilities like tennis courts, squash courts, table-tennis area, gym, basketball court, pools, function room, etc anymore. Plus ALL the units are sizable yet the development is surprisingly not overcrowded in any way, thanks to the rather huge land area and not too many units in total. Trust me when I say that we do get many offers for our place because, best of all, for many families - it is within 2km from prestigious schools like Ai Tong and St. Nicholas. But, we are not selling, not now anyway. Who's to say they won't en bloc this lovely place in the future? All I can only say is that we are holding on to something quite rare and precious and we look forward to staying here for some time to come. -

A run down condominium
Although the condominium is 17 years old, that should not be the reason for the management to be slack. The buildings, indeed, require a new coat of paint. The carparks flood whenever there is a heavy downpour. The ceiling of the lift lobbies on the first floor peels off and looks like almost falling.Overall, I think this place is not family friendly, especially those with young kids. -

Run-down Condo, Poor Management, Design Flaws
I am writing as a resident of this place as I am totally fed-up with the management of the place. This condo is very old and poorly maintained. Moss is already growing on many parts of the building and fence, this place urgently needs at least a new coat of paint! The water fountain has not been working for more than 1 year since I stayed here, the children's playground is the sand type with wooden structures. The wood is already rotting at several parts! Paint at the carpark ceiling is also peeling off. What makes it worse is the very unfriendly (night) security guards whose mission is to guard and not to serve. The overly zealous night guards makes having a second car seems like a crime, calling you way past 10pm every time your 2nd car "illegally" park at the sheltered lots, expecting you to go down immediately to park at the unsheltered lots, even when it is raining! Even when clearly there are still empty sheltered lots. Visitors were never allowed to park within the condo, and sometimes questioned why they come, making this place a turn-off. In terms of design flaw, the car park and lift area slopes down and is not fully sheltered, making the whole lift area wet (sometimes with gushing water) when it rains. There is no place even to hide at the lift lobby area such that you stay dry once it pours!As the carpark is not underground, cars go around the whole estate. With cars parked along the road, one always have to watch out and give way as only 1 car is passable at a time. It's hard not to see the rubbish chutes when they are located either near the letterbox or along ramps up to the garden. It's also irritating when the cleaners bump over the humps in their rubbish cart early in the mornings as the noise is clearly heard from the bedrooms even at the upper floors, unless you do not open the windows. Overall this is the worse condo I have seen, being the third one I have stayed in. -
