Some units with bed rooms set behind can have views rather blocked by part of the block that is jutting out, otherwise quite nicely manicured landscape.
I've been staying in Amaranda Gardens for 2 yrs, it's quite a nicely maintained condo, with unblock fireworks and city view.
However, there are some points that I disliked:
- people here love to complain
- cleaners are overly friendly, causing some disturbance to residents
- security is not tight
- intercom lift system is always faulty
- need to close all windows whenever it rains slightly
- maintainance fees are high
- difficult to load/unload delivery items due to the limited space
Since there is a new condo, Scala is coming up, construction will be huge here, noise and dust pollution will begin till the condo TOP in 2014. Due to the upcoming shopping mall, the quiet road in front will not be quiet anymore, will most probably create jams at peak periods.
Just sharing my views.
Amaranda Gardens is a great place to live in. It is convenient and easily accessable to amenities. The newly opened Circle line is just 5 minutes walk away and you can travel to Bishan station to connect the North-South line or you can go to Serangoon station to catch the North-East line. The new mega mall, The Nex, will be ready in 2010 and have all the major supermarkets and eataries for your dinning needs. There is even a cinema too.
Amaranda Gardens has got perfect unblocked view and you can catch the National Day fireworks from the comfort of your living room. It is very breezy all year round and the environment is very peaceful as well.
For people working in Raffles Place or Shenton Way, you can take the private bus in the morning and it will bring you to your office in just 20 minutes. The bus stop is just in front of the development and you are serviced by bus No 58 and 105.
In summary, Amaranda Gardens is a truly a wonderful place to call Home.

Wonderful place to live in
I'm very happy staying at Amaranda gardens. The more I live, the more I love it. The development is just a stone away from newly opened Lorlong Chuan MRT and new Serangoon Mega mall (nex) which will be opened by end of 2010. Wet market and super market are within 5 min working distance. The bus stop is just infront of the condo with buses going to orchard to Jurong, Shentonway and Bishan to Pasir ris. It is easy and convienet to drive to town via CTE nearby. Though it is a mid size development but is well maintained and boasting full facility with thoughtful design. I love the swimming pool and its children's advanture play ground. The 50 % of residents are foreign expats due to Australian International school and Stanford American school nearby. The interior of the units are simple mordern style. The whole place is amazingly breezy all year around. The lay out of the unit is quite practical. The view is fantastic from 3 bed room units. It boasts breathtaking beautiful residential view and totally unbloked city view till shenton way and singapore flyer. You can see fire work during the festival season. Amaranda gardens is certainly a good choice to live in with added investment value.
