unique features of freehold 32 Gilstead that really stood out to me:- one unit per floor, across its three adjoining five-storey blocks- every unit has a frontage of up to 14.7m, spanning the entire width of the living, dining and lounge bar- the living room is connected to a 9m-long balcony with views of the bamboo garden- the bamboo garden itself occupies half the site, and was designed by an actual Zen priestno doubt these wonderful features alone are worth the $15M price tag!

Luxurious 32 Gilstead
this designer condo at 32 Gilstead Road by Kheng Leong Co has an eye-popping PSF of $3,406 - $4,176. but that's to be expected, because it's made with luxury in mind.

Truly Japanese designs
many developments might call themselves Japanese-inspired but 32 Gilstead goes beyond that as it is truly Japanese designed. its interior architect is Koichiro Ikebuchi who hails from Osaka and is now based in Singapore. he has participated in international design competitions and received numerous awards, including the Diamonds International Awards by De Beers, Design Award by Saporiti Italia, and President’s Design Award Singapore. the units indeed look minimalist with wooden panels, and understated but contemporary. the landscape architect is Shunmyo Masuno, an 18th generation Zen priest and founder of Japan Landscape Consultants. residents can enjoy respite in a bamboo grove, designed like a Zen garden and evoking total calmness and tranqulity.
