There's alot of factors that would make your investment a very sound one. Locality, pricing, holding power and time of purchase are very important factors.
Resale/New launch doesn't make a difference. Good money can be made from either one. It all boils down to what investment are you primarily looking at?
A good rental yield?
A good capital appreciation?
Everyone wants both but realistically, due to the amount of quantum into the property. Enjoying both benefits wouldn't be that easy after-all.
Higher quantum investments would yield you greater profits if it's on the uptrend but usually fails on the rental yield.
Lower quantum investments gives you generally a good rental yield but you do not make that much from the appreciation.
So Alicia, it's always good to ask yourself what is your main intention? Only then can the path ahead for you be much clearer.
