We signed our TA for move in August 13 because landlord wanted us to pay more rent even though we could only move in on August 20th. In TA we were guaranteed premises would be in good working order. We have only been in the condo for 11 days. To date, lights in every room have been broken (one spotlight fell out of ceiling), 1 air con was broken requiring maintenance service, pipes in bathroom had to be replaced, dishwasher was broken and required repair, oven was broken and still hasn't been fixed, washing machine was broken and has to be replaced with new one (with a baby we couldn't do laundry for a week), one stovetop is broken, fridge shelf has cracked open, clothes dryer pulley is broken and has to be restrung, shower pipe is leaking. Something keeps on breaking everyday. Legally we feel landlord should have been responsible for checking out all these problems prior to handover and had them fixed before handover. Is there legal remedy to ask landlord for partial rent refund?
