We met a dishonest buyer agent.
We are getting our BTO in Jan 2020 hence need to sell off our current resale flat. Our agent invited the buyer's agent to our house to talk to us. She said she would like to submit the OTP in Dec 2019 to secure the ethnic quota of her client. We told her that no renovation can be done despite getting the BTO keys early as CNY is approaching. We said clearly we are not in a hurry to sell. If her client needs the house urgently then we cannot commit. She and her partner said not to worry as they just want to secure the ethnic quota, the buyers are staying overseas, they are just buying a smaller flat for their parents. Not urgent, can negotiate.
Now the OTP expiry is over, she turned around and said now the completion date is in March 2020, she can only extend to early April 2020. She now said buyers have their own arrangement and wanted to move in by end April. This was never mentioned during the meetup. Any advice?
