We have signed LOI and now the agent is being extremely rude and unreasonable on changing ridiculous clauses in the TA. Its our first time in Singapore. Can we get the deposit back? The agent is not even willing to show changes to landlord and is making determinations herself with no knowledge or consideration for us. The LOI states that if tenant doesnt execute tenancy by certain date, good faith deposit will be forfeited.

Hi Kansal, if you have sufficient reason to believe that the agent is acting on his or her own accord without the landlord's knowledge, you could make a formal compliant to the CEA.

Good morning,

Since you have indicated that the agent's lack of communication with the landlord, you might want to bring your case up to CEA. Alternatively, you might want to seek assistance from your agent.
