thank you for the answers. i am staying in a 3 room but wanted to move to at least a 4 bedrooms hdb.

took hdb loan (moved in feb 08). does that mean i can only purchase flat in aug next yr or i can play around with the timeline etc transaction waiting time? from what i understand we are not eligible for 2nd db loan.

does that mean i can do a contra if i am upgrading to bigger flat?

Hi Celine,

If you are not eligible for the HDB Loan, you cannot do any contra.

However, you can get a bridging loan from the Banks which is almost similar to HDB contra and can give you a more flexible timing in terms of buying/selling and moving.
