Tenant requested for renewal in 20 Nov 2015, her lease will end on 27 Jan 2016. However, when asked to sign renewal TA on 27 Nov, tenant has already gone overseas. So she said will sign once she's back on 29 Dec.

On 4 Jan 2016 (with 23 days left of the lease), tenant refuses to renew, claiming that she has to return to China due to her work.

In addition, tenant refuses to let us view the premises until we bring up the TA clause. Only until the last week do we get to bring an agent up to view the premises.

Able to claim against her as we're unable to find a suitable tenant after she leave?

Hi Siew Ying, you mentioned that you brought an agent along to your unit last week, and so I believed your agent would be able to advice you further from there.

Afternoon,

I would believe that you had an agent with you when the current rented have being performed. The agent should be able to assist you accordingly as he would understand the picture in a clearer perspective.

Hi,

Check your TA, there is usually a clause that says, Tenants must allow agents working with Landlord, on the final 2 months to bring viewers.

Have you misplaced your TA?
The agent who helped you closed the deal might have a copy of it.
