Tenancy agreement will end January '22
we were notified Jan '21 that landlord put up their HDB unit for sale. Now, our concern they did not disclose that there is HDB ruling that once unit is sold, automatically tenancy agreement will be void.
Our new tenants just moved in April 21 and now we were told that we are given 2-3 months to find new place as the unit has been sold.
Now, we need to inform new tenants that we need to move out in 2 months time. If this is the case, we should have moved out from the unit and did not go through the hassle of finding new tenants.
Our only concern is we were uninformed that tenancy will be terminated once sold. We only expect it after the end of the tenancy contract.
MAIN CONCERN
Tenants were not aware that TA would need to end once unit is sold. They should have given us heads up. We were being cooperative with the viewings. But at least INFORM the tenants that such condition exist.
