Share our bad experience with this landlord of 61 Mount Sinai Drive in case you are engaged by her.
The unit was renovated long time ago (more than 10 years) with the original parquet floor from 1981. We rented the house for 2 years and renewed anther 2. No furniture was provided and we did not ask for anything along the way. The lease expired on 24 Jan 2020. First inspection was done on 04 Jan, nothing was mentioned by her what to be repaired. We thoroughly cleaned the house on 23 Jan and handed over the unit. I was told that a deficit checklist will be given by 24 Jan and I did not receive it till now.
One month after we moving out, I received a quotation from landlord for repair work costs $4055 (including vanish living room and dining room area, repair parquet floor & skirting costs $1720! and a cleaning fee of $550!) Our deposit was not refunded till now.
What can we do in this situation?
