Normally for such cases, you will sell the shares to him at market value provided he is financially capable of taking over your 50% ownership.

If your ownership period is within 4 years from purchase, you will be subject to seller's stamp duty.

He needs to be able to finance the property on his own, and relevant stamp duties will apply. (Seller stamp duties for you if within 4 years of holding, and buyers stamp duty for him).
