My next door neighbour has just sold their unit for $350k which I use that as an estimate for our flat too.

Due to financial constraints, we have difficulties in making regular payments to HDB and have mount up an outstanding amount of $45k and still owning HDB $190k. Our current monthly payment to hdb is $2k/mth which we cough out with great difficulties every month.

I would like to know if we are able to sell the flat when there is an outstanding amount owing HDB? Are there any things I need to be aware of to make the decision to sell or not to?
