My mother used her CPF money approx S$500K to purchase a private property years ago which is our current residential place. The property is now fully paid and my mother is above 65. My Dad recently passed away and I went to SLA to amend the title deed to sole ownership under my mother. SLA informed me there is a CPF charge on the title deed. We called CPF & was informed as my mum has sufficient money in retirement, hence there is no need to refund CPF. We have no plans to sell the property. Will there be an issue not to perform a total CPF discharge on property since there is legal fees involved?
