I am Malaysian. I have transfer my property to my family and all documentation had been done on 30/4/2024.
And I just got my Singapore citizenship my Pink NRIC on 1/6/2024.
I wish to buy resale HDB now, can I do that?
Can I still get the CPF housing grant & HDB housing loan as well?

Hi, firstly, congrats on getting your pink IC. Yes you are eligible for CPF Housing Grants and HDB Housing Loan. However, you of course still have to be eligible to purchase a HDB resale flat in the first place, if you are single, you will have to be above 35 years old. Fret not, the very first thing you should do now is to apply for a HFE (HDB flat eligibility) from HDB by logging into your singpass on the HDB portal. In the HFE, they will give you a detailed breakdown of all your eligible grant amounts as well as the HDB loan you can get.

    Yes , that's correct , you will have to declare whether you have disposed of any private property in the last 30months, and If the answer is yes, the HFE will not be approved and you will have to wait out 30months from the transfer date .

    I worry that I have to wait for 30 mths as the HDB mentioned “ Must not have disposed of any private residential property in the period of At least 30 months before HFE letter application“ to get the grants and HDB housing Loan.

    As I had property in overseas (Malaysia) but already transfer to my family on 30/4/2024 before obtain citizenship.

    If that true I have only can apply HFE letter 30 mths later?

You will still be required to wait out a period of 15 months to be eligible to purchase a resale HDB if you are not age 55 or above. If you are, you can purchase a resale 4 room HDB or smaller unit now. As for housing grant and loan, you will have to wait out for a period of 30 months to be eligible, provided you meet all other criteria.
