Dear sir/madam,
Am not so sure if there is any laws in Singapore that protects the tenants under such situation, but I believe that the good vibes in staying on has been breached and even if your rights as tenants is covered under the law, the soured relationship can mean that your stay ahead may not be smooth sailing.
I have landlords who specifically indicated that they do not wish to have young children staying in the apartment and this landlord could have similar preference.
In my personal opinion, instead of insisting your rights, it could perhaps be beneficial for your expecting wife to move out to somewhere where both of you can focus in preparing for the arrival of your baby and look forward to stay happily in the apartment together. There will definitely be landlords out there who will welcome you and your family over this landlord.
It doesn't mean that landlord is right and you are wrong in this situation, but there is no value added to you to persist in this disagreement. I am sure you have better things to focus on and look forward to than being bugged down in this situation.
