Question

Inheritance and Legacy Planning

I've Tenancy Agreement for 2 years, with Diplomatic clause after 1 year and I stayed for 18 months. Now My Wife Has to go back Home Country for Conceiving a baby and so I want end the TA early with 2 months notice.
As the TA Diplomatic Clause mention Tenants can end TA only, when they have to leave Republic Of Singapore.
As I want rent a single room somewhere in Singapore, to reduce the expenses, I want to end the TA.
What are the steps to follow?

Dear sir,

In such circumstances, you are unable to invoke on the diplomatic clause to terminate the lease agreement. Your option is to speak to the landlord and hope that landlord is kind enough to agree for the premature termination of lease. If not, you may wish to work out other solutions with landlord to see if he agrees for a replacement tenant for you, where you should be responsible for locating a replacement tenant. Do note that landlord has no obligations to agree to the above proposals and in such cases, you have no other options but to see out the lease agreement.
