I put down a booking fee for a condo at Archipelago a few days before the stamp duty increase announcement. I am seriously considering pulling out and lose the 25% booking fee. I think the price drop in the next few months will be more than the money that I am going to lose now. Any advice?

Afternoon Jack,

You hit the right note by getting to buy before the new ruling. And with the seller's stamp duty, it makes zero sense to sell your unit within the next 3 to 4 years. Unless you foresee that the property market to crash for a period longer than that, it still make sense to hold onto it. You know your own income status and holding power. Your salesperson would also be able prudent and sound advise.

All the best.
